Robert Lee President
Robert D. Lee, CWT
R2J Chemical Services, Inc.


Robert Lee began his career in the water treatment field in 1982. He has been President of R2J Chemical Services since 1992. He has a degree in business from the University of South Florida, is a NACE Certified Corrosion Technician and a Certified Water Technologist. He was a contributing member of the White Rust project team and currently is the Chair of the Convention Committee. Mr. Lee serves as President of AWT.

Trace Blackmore President-Elect

Trace Blackmore is the owner and operator of Blackmore Enterprises, Inc. and is the chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee. Trace was the youngest person ever to obtain the CWT designation. He is a facilitator with the National Safety Consul where he teaches OSHA programs to company administrators. Trace also conducts OHSA training, site survey and program writing with Blackmore Enterprises.

Mark Juhl Secretary

Mark Juhl has worked in the water treatment industry full time for 17 years holding various positions within Jaytech, Inc., including Service Technician, Sales Representative, Corporate Development Director, Vice President, and President. Mark graduated from Luther College in Decorah, IA, in 1992 having earned two Bachelor of Science degrees. The following year he was technically trained in water treatment through Dearborn Chemical Company in Lake Zurich, IL. Mark has been a member of the AWT since 1992 and became a Director on the board in November of 2007. He is currently serving as AWT Secretary. Mark is pleased and honored to have had the opportunity to work with past AWT presidents, board members, associate members, consultants, and the AWT membership at large.

Eric Fraser Treasurer

Eric Fraser began his career in water treatment as a chemist in Dow Chemical's Technical Service and Product Development laboratory in Freeport, Texas. Eric worked for several of the major water treatment companies including Nalco, Betz, and Dexter Water Management for 14 years in Oklahoma and Kansas. He started his own consulting and water management company in 1994. The company was named Kansas Water Technologies in 2002. The company has provided water treatment consulting and chemical treatment to a variety of industrial water users in Kansas and Oklahoma. Eric is a member of AWT (Association of Water Technologists) and NACE International (International Association of Corrosion Engineers). Eric is currently on the AWT board of directors and active in the AWT Legislative Regulatory Committee Chairman. Eric has a BS degree in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration degree. In 2006 Eric earned the CWT (Certified Water Technologist) designation

Scott Olson Immediate Past President

Scott Olson has a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He began his water treatment career in 1974 working part time, and began full time work in 1982. He has been President of Lakeland Chemical Specialties, Inc. since it was started in 1991. Scott has been involved with various AWT committees since 1989, particularly Certification, and is proud to be a Certified Water Technologist.

Steve Holtzman Director

Steve Holtzman began his career in water treatment as a sales rep for State Chemicals in Pittsburgh, PA. After moving to Los Angeles, CA in 1980, he started working for Aqua-Serv Engineers. During the period of 19882-83, Steve had a short stint with Clow as an area manager and then returned to Aqua-Serv where he stayed until 1997. He held positions of sales rep, area manager, and product manager for wastewater treatment. In 1997, Steve and his partner Dan started their own water treatment company, Advanced Chemical Technology, Inc. The company started out as a two man operation working from their homes and has grown to a company of 16 employees, an 18,000 ft2 company owned manufacturing, office, and warehouse facility with an additional leased warehouse and sales office in Phoenix, AZ. The company has provided water treatment consulting and chemical treatment to a variety of industrial water users in California and Arizona as their main markets, but they also have customers in Wisconsin, Arkansas the Middle East, and Australia. Steve is a member of AWT (Association of Water Technologists) and is a member of the Cooling subcommittee of the Technical Committee. Steve has a BS degree with a dual major of Business Administration and Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and attended the Master of Business Administration program at Duquesne University. Steve also holds a certificate in wastewater treatment from The University of Cincinnati and is a licensed water distribution technician for the State of California.

Dick Hourigan Director

Dick Hourigan received his BA in Chemistry from Monmouth College, Monmouth, IL and completed four years of Graduate School in Analytical Chemistry at Northern Illinois University before entering the Army. He retired from the Army Reserve in 1999 after 28 years and at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Chemical Corps. While in the Army, he completed Airborne School, Special Forces School, Chemical School, Nuclear Weapons School, the Psychological Operations School, and The US Army Command and General Staff College. Dick started in water treatment in January 1973 as a Boiler Water Research Chemist for Dearborn Chemical. While there, he would also help out on the Analytical side of the Lab. Additionally, at Dearborn, he was a Waste Water treatment Specialist, a Water Treatment Salesman, and Technical Director. In December of 1992, he started Richard Hourigan, Inc., a small independent water treatment company in Illinois. In recent years, Dick joined the Boiler Water Subcommittee, and joined the Cooling Water Subcommittee.

Mark T. Lewis Director

Mark Lewis has worked his 21-year career for AWT companies. Mark earned his CWT Certification in 1997 and became an active member of the AWT in 2000. He has served on the Education/Certification Committee, then chaired the Certification Committee for 3 years through its accreditation process and served as the Membership Chair for the past 4 years. Mark was recently elected to serve as a Board Member of the AWT.

Casey Walton Director

Casey Walton has a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine and 18 years experience in the chemical industry. Initially, Casey worked in the paper industry as a technical engineer for a large chemical company and managed wet end chemistry programs in the recycled linerboard industry. Casey’s career in the water industry started in 1998, and co-founded Walton Technologies in 2001. Casey is a Certified Water Technologist, Certified Corrosion Technologist, and holds a Master Applicators license for Pesticides in the State of Maine. Casey is currently on the pre-treatment and CWT committee’s.

Tina Craft Ex-officio Supplier Representative

Tina Craft is Product Manager, Water Treatment for Albemarle Corporation, a supportive contributor to the AWT for over 10 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, and earned her Masters of Business Administration Degree from Louisiana State University in 2008. Tina has over 25 years of experience working in the industrial market segment including industrial and chemical manufacturing. In addition to being an AWT member since 2005, Tina is also an active member of CTI, NACE, and IPE. During her career, Tina's functional participation has extended to Marketing, Sales, Financial Analysis and Corporate Planning in domestic and international markets. Tina is very honored to have the opportunity to work with the AWT members as the supplier representative.
