The Association of Water Technologies (AWT) is an international organization representing over 500 companies that specialize in applying water treatments for industrial and commercial cooling and heating systems. We equip water treaters with the tools and skills they need to deliver the highest quality service to clients—helping them to extend equipment life, maximize energy efficiency, and reduce downtime.
The function of industrial and commercial nonpotable water systems is to add heat to, or remove heat from, industrial processes and commercial data centers, to generate electric power, and to condition the air in commercial buildings, hospitals, etc. The objectives are to transfer heat from one place to another, using water as the transfer medium, to conserve heat energy, and to discharge waste heat and water to the environment in an acceptable way, while controlling scale, corrosion and microbiological fouling in systems. Each facility has specific needs, all of which must be balanced by the water technology provider. Successful water treatment programs help extend equipment life, maximize energy efficiency and reduce downtime.
