About the Raffle & 50/50
In recent years, AWT has held a silent auction in support of its charity partner. To better align with World Vision, we will be holding a raffle as well as a 50/50 fundraiser throughout the convention. Items will be given away at receptions, on the exhibit hall floor, and at general sessions. The 50/50 will be given away at the end of the Awards ceremony on Friday evening.
How to Participate
- There are two kinds of tickets you may purchase: Raffle or 50/50. These are not interchangeable. Raffle tickets will only be called for the raffle, and 50/50 will only be called for the 50/50.Pricing
Raffle: 1 ticket for 10, 2 tickets for $15, 4 tickets for $20
50/50: 1 ticket for 20, 2 tickets for $35, 4 tickets for $40 - You may pre-purchase tickets online beginning in August. They will be available for you to pick-up at the registration desk upon check-in. The pre-purchase deadline is August 28.
- You may also purchase tickets onsite at registration via cash or credit card.
- Raffle draw times will be posted in the Convention App. You must be present to win. Draws will happen at receptions, set times in the exhibit hall, and during general sessions.
- The 50/50 draw will take place at the end of the Awards Reception on Friday. The winner will receive 50% of the total amount donated to the 50/50 pot.
How to Donate
Want to provide an item? Please submit this form.
We are looking for: Gift cards, gift baskets, wine/liquor, travel items, travel experiences, electronics, art, and anything you think would be a fun raffle prize.
Items will be displayed similarly to the auction format, along with your company name and logo as the donor. Individuals may also donate under their own name. When the winner is announced, your company/name will be given as the donor unless you prefer to stay anonymous. Items may be brought to the event to distribute to the winner, or you may elect to ship the item directly to the person. General rule: Items that can easily fit into a suitcase should be brought and other items shipped direct.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 28.
Deputy Executive Director
Sara returns to AWT as Deputy Executive Director, bringing more than 20 years of association management experience and a deep understanding of the organization gained through nearly nine years of prior service to AWT. Throughout her career, she has held executive leadership roles with several national associations, including the Public Media Business Association, the North American Association of Commencement Officers, and the American College of Health Care Administrators. Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Membership and Marketing for the National Court Reporters Association.
In addition to her association leadership experience, Sara provides consulting and strategic facilitation services to associations and nonprofit organizations, specializing in governance, communications, and strategic planning. A frequent presenter for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), she has held the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential since 2014. Sara earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Mary Washington and an MBA from the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology.
